Amy Fong has worked in the software engineering and QA industry for over 20 years. Amy began their career in 1996 as a Computer Support at Instructional Media Services at University of Western Ontario. In 1998, they moved to Nortel as a Software Test Engineer. Amy then worked at Fujitsu Network Communications as a Software Engineer in 2000. That same year, they also began working at Cisco Systems as a Software Test Engineer, where they were the Test Lead for ANA 4.1, CTM 7.0, and CMGM 2. In 2010, they moved to Global IP Solutions as a Senior QA Engineer. In 2011, they joined Google as a Software Test/QA Engineer and was responsible for quality, functional, and performance testing of WebRTC ViE with VP8 (WebM) and VoE on all supported platforms. In 2012, they became a Senior QA Engineer - Lead QA Engineer at Idle Games. Amy then moved to Whistle Labs in 2013 as a Lead QA Engineer and to Parsable in 2015 for the same role. Currently, Amy is a Senior QA Engineer at Afero.
Amy Fong has an education history that includes a B.Sc. in Computer Science with specialization in Software Engineering from Western University, which they obtained between 1994 and 2000. Amy also has several certifications, including a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance obtained in September 2017, a Bertelsmann Data Science Challenge Scholarship from Udacity obtained in May 2018, a Grow with Google Challenge Scholarship from Udacity obtained in January 2018, and an Android Basics Nanodegree from Udacity obtained in October 2018.
