Robbie Banks

Robbie Banks is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in program management and product development within the engineering and IoT sectors. Currently serving as Principal TPM at Afero since October 2022, Robbie focuses on enabling IoT for future households. Previously, as Lead Engineering Program Manager at Plume Design, Inc., from February 2020 to October 2022, Robbie led cross-functional programs to enhance infrastructure and collaborate with third-party partners. As the founder of OnScale, acquired by Ansys, Robbie designed and implemented cloud integration solutions. In earlier roles, Robbie held senior management positions at Thornton Tomasetti, where business development initiatives resulted in significant revenue growth, and at Weidlinger Associates, where product redesigns and government grant oversight contributed to notable increases in revenue. Robbie holds a PhD, MPhil, and B.Eng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
