Umang Mehta

Umang Mehta has a wealth of experience in the software engineering field. Umang began their career in 2012 as a Co-Founder of Reportsnthesis, where they provided level best presentations and reports in the format specified by the individual within the deadline specified by the user. In 2014, they took on a Graduate Assistant role at Northeastern University and a Software Developer Intern role at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. In 2015, they became a Software Developer Co-op at Basis Technology, where they were the lead developer for the JSP-based internal customer relationship tool and integrated the tool with Salesforce. Later in 2015, they returned to Northeastern University as a Masters Assistant. In 2016, they joined Affectiva as an Engineering Manager & Sr.Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer, where they oversaw a team of Software Engineers and worked on integrating Tensorflow and Tensorflow Lite Deep Learning Libraries into Affectiva's Emotion as well Automotive AI SDK. In 2021, Affectiva was acquired by Smart Eye and Umang Mehta became an Engineering Manager (US). In this role, they are responsible for personnel management of the engineering team, planning projects and allocating resources, and identifying and resolving problems or roadblocks for, or within, the team.

Umang Mehta completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai in 2013. Following this, they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University in 2015. In addition to their formal education, Umang has also obtained a Certificate of Educational Achievement on Data Lakes for Big Data from EMC in June 2015 and an ASUS CAMPUS ELITE from ASUS ACADEMIC COMMUNITY in July 2011.
