Andrew Wallace has a strong background in mechanical engineering and has worked in various roles at different companies. Andrew started their career at The Timken Company as a Mechanical Engineering Intern, where they designed and built a piezoelectric impact positioning device and developed a low-cost wireless temperature sensor. Andrew then joined Tribotek as a Manager, Manufacturing Equipment Design, where they co-invented and patented the company's core technology and developed a manufacturing process for an innovative power contact design. Later, they co-founded Aeromotions, Inc. and served as the Owner, managing all aspects of business development and developing electronic and mechanical systems for computer-controlled active car racing wings. Wallace then moved to Rethink Robotics, where they worked as a Principal Mechanical Engineer, leading the development of a low-cost, easy-to-program robot for manufacturing environments. Andrew was responsible for all aspects of electromechanical systems development, including prototyping, product development, testing and characterization, manufacturing support, and cost reduction. Currently, they are working at Affera, Inc. as a Principal Mechanical Engineer.
Andrew Wallace obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the years 1998-2002. Andrew then pursued further studies in the field and earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT during the period 2002-2003.
