Gwendolyn Hughes

Gwendolyn Hughes is an accomplished engineer with a strong background in instrumentation and control, as well as mechanical systems. Currently serving as an Instrumentation and Control Engineer II at Affiliated Engineers, Inc. since May 2020, Gwendolyn previously worked as a Commissioning Engineer I. Prior experience includes a role as an Engineer at Grumman/Butkus Associates, where responsibilities involved assessing chilled and heating water systems, identifying energy conservation measures, and drafting mechanical piping designs for various buildings. Gwendolyn's engineering career began with an internship at Grumman/Butkus Associates, focusing on mechanical systems data collection for energy studies. In an earlier role as an Undergraduate Assistant at Cellular Dynamics International, Gwendolyn cultured Hematopoietic Stem Cells and programmed laboratory robots. Gwendolyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and French from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earned in 2018.
