Michael Emig

Michael Emig has extensive work experience in the medical field. Michael is currently serving as the Vice President Medical at Affimed since July 2021. Prior to this role, they held the position of Senior Medical Director at Affimed from January 2021 to July 2021.

Before joining Affimed, Michael worked at Eli Lilly and Company from 2013 to 2021, where they held various roles including Head of Medical Affairs Oncology, Germany from April 2018 to July 2021. Michael also served as a Medical Fellow Global Medical Sciences and Medical Affairs Europe from September 2015 to July 2021 and as a Senior Medical Advisor Global Medical Sciences from September 2013 to September 2015.

Earlier in their career, Michael worked at ImClone Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eli Lilly and Company. Michael held the position of Associate Vice President Global Medical Sciences from January 2011 to January 2013 and Senior Medical Director from October 2009 to December 2010.

Michael's professional experience also includes working at Merck KGaA and Merck Serono as a Medical Leader from 2006 to 2009.

Michael Emig completed their education at Heidelberg University from 1990 to 1997. Michael obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in the field of Medicine.
