Chin Anh Lim

Head, Equity Derivatives at Affin Hwang Investment Bank

Chin Anh Lim has a strong background in equity derivatives, with extensive experience working in various roles at different financial institutions. Starting in 2007 at CIMB Investment Bank Berhad, Lim served as an Associate in Equity Derivatives, ensuring smooth settlement processes and assisting in the issuance and monitoring of structured warrants. Lim then advanced to Vice President, executing sales of structured products and pricing options. In 2011, Lim became an Associate Director, managing an equity derivatives portfolio and performing market making activities.

In 2016, Lim joined Bursa Malaysia as an Assistant Vice President, contributing to product and market development. Key accomplishments include launching the first mini futures contract to be traded on Bursa Malaysia and developing new derivatives products. Lim also collaborated closely with the Securities Commission Malaysia to obtain regulatory approval.

Most recently, Lim is Head of Equity Derivatives at Affin Hwang Investment Bank, responsible for managing the Equity Derivatives Desk. Duties include overseeing the issuance and market making of structured warrants, sales and marketing of structured warrants, and risk management of positions. Lim also plays a role in advising on the implementation of new front office systems and their integration with existing middle and back office systems.

Chin Anh LIM pursued their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. (Hons)) and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degrees with a focus on Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Accounting and Finance from the University of Melbourne. Chin Anh attended the university from 2002 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Chin Anh LIM has obtained several certifications. Chin Anh completed a course on "Dealing in Securities" from the Securities Commission Malaysia in November 2021. In June 2021, they acquired multiple digital skills certifications, including "Digital Marketing," "User Experience," "Web Analytics," and "Logical and Critical Thinking" from FutureLearn.
