Kyle Hammersmith has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the technology industry. Kyle started their career as a Network Engineer at Carefirst in 1998 and later moved on to EDGAR Online, Inc. where they served as a Network Engineer, designing and implementing virus protection systems and supporting production web clusters.

In 2000, Hammersmith became the Director of IT for North American Operations at Intervid International, overseeing IT operations across the US and South Africa. Kyle then joined Hanger, Inc. in 2003 as a Software Development Manager, responsible for enterprise system implementation and revenue cycle reporting.

Hammersmith continued to progress in their career and became the Director of DevOps and Information Security at PeopleAdmin in 2015. In this role, they managed product hosting operations, implemented production hosting and data management, and conducted acquisition integrations.

In 2018, Hammersmith joined Q2ebanking as the Director of Engineering, where they oversaw primary banking product development and standardized the DevOps function. Kyle later became the Senior Director of Engineering, Tech Ops at LeafLink in 2022 and was recently promoted to Senior Director, Platform Engineering at AffiniPay in 2024.

Throughout their career, Hammersmith has demonstrated expertise in cloud hosting, data engineering, software delivery, compliance certification, and DevOps principles adoption. Kyle has proven their ability to lead teams, drive growth, and implement reliable CI/CD processes to deliver quality products.

Kyle Hammersmith obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, where they were on the Dean's List, from 2004 to 2010. Kyle also studied Finance at Radford University from 1991 to 1993, although they did not earn a degree in this field. Additionally, Kyle has obtained several certifications, including Cloud Architecture: Advanced Concepts, How to Handle Poor Performers, Git Essential Training: The Basics, Overcome Overthinking, PMP (Project Management Professional), and ITIL Foundations V3.
