Kim Shi

Kim (Qiaoqiao) Shi is a highly experienced scientist with a strong background in analytical development and quality control within the biopharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Principal Scientist at Affini-T Therapeutics since November 2023, Kim previously held the position of Associate Director of Analytical Development and Quality Control at SQZ Biotechnologies, overseeing clinical manufacture quality control, assay qualifications, and method verifications from March 2021 to November 2023. Prior roles include Sr. Scientist and Scientist at SQZ, where responsibilities encompassed the design and qualification of analytical assays for cell therapy products and in-process testing for mRNA and peptide APIs. Earlier experience includes leading projects at BioLegend focused on immunoassay development and serving as an instructor and associate investigator at Harvard Medical School, where research centered on the role of complement C3 in aging and Alzheimer's disease models. Kim earned a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Peking Union Medical College and a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Peking University.
