Steve Markakis

Steve Markakis has over 36 years of experience in engineering and operations management within the technology and defense sectors. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer and previously as Vice President of Engineering at Affinity Biosensors since July 2007, Steve has a comprehensive background that includes roles as Program Manager at FLIR Systems, Inc. and Digital Instruments/Veeco. Prior to these positions, Steve worked at Raytheon as a System Engineer and Project Manager after the company's acquisition of Hughes Aircraft Company, where Steve started as a System Engineer and progressed to roles including Design Engineer and Project Manager.
