Rebecca Ortego

Rebecca Ortego has a diverse work experience history. Rebecca began their career as a Student Worker at LSU Career Services in 2001 and continued in that role until 2005. Following that, they worked as a Helpdesk Technician at LA Dept. of Health and Hospitals in 2004 before transitioning to the role of Business Systems Analyst at Turner Industries from 2005 to 2008. At Turner Industries, they focused on developing and maintaining a data warehouse to support the implementation of Cognos\u00ae 8 Business Intelligence. From 2008 to 2012, Rebecca joined Amedisys as a BI Data Integration Lead Developer where they designed and implemented ETL processes and built supporting database structures for BI solutions. Rebecca also administered Cognos\u00ae software during their time there. Rebecca's most recent employment has been at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, where they have held multiple roles since 2012. These roles include Integration Specialist, Sr. Data Warehouse Integration Specialist, Principal Data Warehouse Integration Specialist, Applications Architect, Lead Software Engineer, and currently as a Lead Solution Architect. Their responsibilities at Blue Cross and Blue Shield have involved creating and testing ETL workflows, authoring design documents and mapping specifications, and providing expertise in data integration and software engineering.
