Sam Griffin has had a long and successful career at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana. Sam first started with the company in 1995 as the Vice President of IT Technical Services, a position they held until 2002. In 2010, they returned to the company to take on the role of Vice President of Performance and Metrics, where they excelled until 2017. After that, they were promoted to the position of Vice President of Business Engineering, Performance Metrics, and Reporting, a role they currently hold.

Sam Griffin attended Nicholls State University from 1971 to 1975, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science with a focus on Accounting. In 2009, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
