Barak Griffis

Barak Griffis has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. Barak began their career as a Mobile Production Crew member at Youth With A Mission, where they gained experience in audio and video production, set building, vehicle maintenance, and networking. During this time, Barak also implemented a wireless bridge to improve internet connectivity for their team.

Barak then worked as a Technician at Window Genie before joining Tellus Environmental Services as a Consultant. At Tellus Environmental Services, they provided expert advice and guidance in their field.

In 2007, Barak joined Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union as an IT Help Desk professional. Barak later transitioned to the role of IT Administrator, where they focused on the core financial database and worked with a small team of IT professionals. Barak'sresponsibilities included managing an UltraData application on a Unidata DBMS with HA and Replication on AIX 6.1.

After leaving Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, Barak joined HealthPartners as a Unix/Linux Admin, where they handled various administrative tasks related to Unix and Linux systems.

Currently, Barak holds the position of Network & Cloud Architect at Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, where they utilize their expertise to design and implement network and cloud infrastructure.

Barak Griffis holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) from Capella University, which they obtained between 2006 and 2008. Prior to that, they attended Milwaukee School of Engineering from 1998 to 2000, where they studied Computer Engineering. In 2010, Barak enrolled at Walden University to pursue a degree in Software Engineering, but the end year of their studies is unknown.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Barak has obtained various certifications throughout their career. These include certifications such as Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS), obtained in May 2020, as well as certifications from Splunk, Red Hat, GIAC, and Palo Alto Networks. Notable certifications include Splunk Certified Architect, Splunk Certified Admin, Red Hat Certified Engineer for RHEL7 and RHEL6, and Certified UNIX Security Administrator (GCUX). Barak also completed the Photography Foundations: Exposure (part 1) course offered by LinkedIn in June 2019.
