Alan Shaw

Alan Shaw has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Alan started their career as a Trainee Chartered Accountant at KPMG UK in 1982. From 1986 to 1990, they worked at Scottish Life as an Assistant Accountant and Systems Analyst. Alan then joined Scottish and Newcastle as a Consultant Operational Auditor from 1990 to 1994. Alan worked at Scottish & Newcastle Retail as a Financial Systems Manager from 1994 to 1998. Alan then joined Deloitte Consulting as a Manager from 1998 to 2000. From 2000 to 2001, they worked at Redstone Telecom as an Operational Process Manager. Alan then joined LeasePlan UK Ltd in 2001 and held the position of Head of Internal Audit & Risk until 2013. Alan worked at Phoenix (IT Infrastructure Services) as an Internal Audit Manager from 2014 to 2015. Currently, Alan is the Head of Internal Audit at Affinity Water, a position they have held since 2015.

Alan Shaw attended Broxburn Academy from 1972 to 1978. Alan later pursued a BA in Accountancy & Computer Science at Heriot-Watt University from 1978 to 1982.
