Stephen Yang

Stephen Yang has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Stephen is currently working as a Principal Product Manager at Affinity.co, where they are responsible for developing and owning the product roadmap for data products targeting private capital client use cases. Prior to their current role, Stephen worked at Nasdaq as a Director of Research, focusing on product management for Quandl's alternative data and generating investment insights. Stephen also served as a Managing Director of Research at Sun Hung Kai Financial, where they led a research staff and formulated a research product strategy for SHKF Capital Markets. Stephen has a background in equity analysis, having worked as a Senior Equity Analyst at Quam Securities Company Ltd. and an Equity Research Associate at BMO Capital Markets. In these roles, they conducted extensive research and ranked #1 in two sectors. Stephen began their career at Samsung Electronics Canada as a Corporate Strategy Associate, where they presented strategic plans and led a successful online research campaign. Stephen also has engineering experience, having worked as a Project Engineer at AMD and a Software Engineer at Motorola Inc. In these positions, they managed engineering projects and played a key role in the development of mobile phone technologies.

Stephen Yang completed an MBA in Finance at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management in 2006. Stephen also obtained a CFA degree from the CFA Institute in 2010. Prior to that, they earned an MBA at Melbourne Business School in 2005. Stephen completed their undergraduate studies in Computer Engineering & Management at McMaster University in 2000.
