Derek Moore is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in infrastructure engineering and operations. Currently serving as the Director of Infrastructure Engineering at Affirm since 2023, Derek supports distributed service and infrastructure engineering to enhance Affirm's global financial platform. Previously, Derek held the position of Head of Cloud Engineering at Zoom, and before that, worked at Meta as part of the Production Engineering team, ensuring the reliability and scalability of services for Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Derek's career also includes significant roles at Ripple, where as Head of Technical Operations, strategic development for cloud and platform engineering was initiated, and at Mozilla Corporation, where management encompassed a global network and datacenter footprint. Earlier roles included Lead Systems Engineer at SearchMe and Senior Service Engineer at TiVo, along with technical consultancy for various high-profile clients. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
