Laurie Sellick Tauberg

Laurie Sellick Tauberg is an accomplished Senior Director and Associate General Counsel at Affirm, focusing on Product, Regulatory, and Privacy matters since January 2017. As a founder and co-lead of the Women@Affirm employee resource group, Laurie has actively mentored women within the organization to enhance retention efforts and further the group's mission of empowerment. With extensive experience in regulatory and product innovation counseling, Laurie has effectively tracked regulatory developments, provided legal guidance on complex issues, and collaborated cross-functionally to develop innovative consumer financial products. Prior roles include serving as Compliance Counsel for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and Law Clerk at the Federal Trade Commission, showcasing a strong foundation in consumer finance law and compliance. Laurie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from San Francisco State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Davis, focusing on Consumer Financial Protection law.
