Melissa Ornelas is a seasoned compliance professional with extensive experience in fraud analysis and organizational leadership. Currently serving as Compliance Lead for Merchant Engagement at Affirm since January 2022, Melissa previously held various roles at Mosaic, including Senior Compliance and Fraud Analyst, where expertise in fraud and compliance case resolution was developed. From October 2003 to March 2017, Melissa contributed to Jalisco State Council of Science and Technology (COECYTJAL) in multiple capacities, culminating in the Deputy Director position, where strategic planning and fund management were key responsibilities. Melissa earned an M.B.A. from the University of South Carolina and holds a degree in Industrial Engineering with a Systems Engineering minor from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
