Ross Briden

Ross Briden is a Senior Software Engineer at Affirm, where responsibilities include developing the ML platform and building the experimentation and safe rollout platform, as well as creating the feature store powered by technologies such as Kafka, Flink, Spark, MySQL, and Python. Prior experience includes research as an Undergraduate Researcher at Brown University in the BATS Lab, focusing on weakly-supervised deep learning algorithms, with work published at MLSYS 2022. Ross has also interned at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, redesigning the backend for the NASA GIBS web service, and has held positions at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and University of South Carolina, contributing to various software engineering and data science projects. Ross holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Brown University.
