Jessica Scanlan has a diverse work experience in the disability services sector. Jessica is currently working as the Director of Service Delivery at the Australian Foundation for Disability (Afford) since 2022. Prior to this role, they held various positions at Royal Rehab starting in 2004, including General Manager of Disability Services, General Manager Inpatient Service/Director of Nursing, Nursing Manager, and Registered Nurse in different time periods.
Jessica Scanlan completed their Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Sydney from 2000 to 2004. Jessica also obtained a Graduate Certificate in Nursing Practice from Western Sydney University in 2006. Jessica completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Leadership and Management at Proteus in 2009. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Health and Human Services - Leadership at the University of Tasmania and completed it in 2017. In addition to their nursing background, Jessica also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Sociology/Gender Studies and Art/Art Studies from the University of Sydney, which they completed from 2000 to 2004.
