Nick Johnson

Nick Johnson has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Nick has held various leadership roles in different companies. Nick began their career at Boral Limited as a General Manager - Finance from October 2004 to October 2006. Nick then worked at PwC as a Director from October 2007 to September 2008. After that, they joined Cerno as the CFO & Company Secretary, responsible for all aspects of finance and governance, from September 2008 to March 2012. Following this, they worked at Woolworths Limited as a Finance Manager, focusing on building and managing the shared services function for consolidated reporting and analysis within the Woolworths group from April 2012 to June 2013.

Nick furthered their career as the Director of the Australian Shared Services Association, a professional organization that promotes the Shared Services industry, from December 2012 to December 2014. Nick then served as the Head of Financial Client Management Services - Finance & Technology Group at Fuji Xerox Australia, responsible for revenue, credit, and cash management accounting from June 2013 to October 2015. Subsequently, they joined Macquarie Telecom as the Head of Finance - Contract Role, supervising financial accounting, external reporting, budgeting, and process improvement, from October 2015 to February 2016.

In February 2016, they joined Ability Options as the Chief Financial Officer, a role they held until January 2019. After that, they joined The Benevolent Society, where they held multiple roles, including Chief Financial Officer from January 2019 to December 2021, Acting Chief Executive Officer in December 2021 to January 2022, and Interim Chief Executive Officer in July 2021 to August 2021. Currently, they are working as the Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary at the Australian Foundation For Disability (Afford), starting from January 2022. Throughout their career, Nick has demonstrated strong financial management skills and a focus on improving efficiency and driving process improvement in organizations.
