Dawn Walters has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries. Dawn started their career in 1987 as an Administrator at the Drug Enforcement Administration and worked there for 11 years. Dawn then transitioned to Gali Service Industries, where they held the role of Safety Office Administrator for almost 9 years. In 2011, they joined Georgetown University Hospital as a Radiation Safety Health Physicist Technician and later became the Deputy Director of Radiation Safety. Since 2015, they have been working at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital as the Deputy Director of Radiation Safety, where they are responsible for overseeing radiation safety and compliance. In 2018, Dawn joined AFG Group, Inc. as a Radiation Specialist and in 2019, they took on the additional role of Deputy Program Director/Project Specialist.
Dawn Walters pursued their higher education at three different institutions. From 1981 to 1983, they attended Prince George's Community College, where they focused on Health Care/Nursing. Dawn then enrolled at the University of Phoenix from 2009 to 2011, earning their Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration. Dawn continued their education at the University of Phoenix from 2013 to 2015, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Health Administration with a specialization in Health/Health Care Administration/Management.
