Pieter Badenhorst

Pieter Badenhorst is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law and compliance. Currently serving as the Director of Legal and Compliance at AGH - Afgri Group Holdings since November 2008, Pieter oversees legal matters, regulatory compliance, risk management, credit, and insurance for the group. Prior to this role, Pieter was with Absa Group from January 1997 to October 2008, where responsibilities included heading the Office of the General Counsel and providing legal advice on various financial matters. Early legal experience includes working as a Candidate Attorney at Couzyn, Hertzog & Horak Attorneys. Pieter holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Banking and Stock Exchange Law from the University of Johannesburg, as well as multiple degrees from North-West University, including a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws.
