Jon Sturgess

Jon Sturgess is the Group Financial Controller at AFH. Jon has over fifteen years of experience in auditing and accounting.

Jon started their career in 2004 as an Audit Manager at EY. Jon worked there for nine years before moving to Bishop Fleming Chartered Accountants in 2013. At Bishop Fleming, Jon was the Senior Audit Manager heading up the Corporate Services Department. Jon worked with a team of trainees, qualified, and managers servicing clients in and around the Worcestershire area.

In 2015, Jon left Bishop Fleming to work at Deloitte UK as an Audit Senior Manager. Jon reported directly into partners/directors on a variety of clients, reporting under UK GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS. Jon's client base included a variety of clients from plcs to Limited companies, in a variety of markets, including Retail, Technology, and Childcare Clients.

Jon has been with AFH since June 2015 and is currently the Group Financial Controller.

Jon Sturgess has an educational career in AAT and ACCA from Yeovil College and BBP Bristol. Jon also has a certification from ACCA in FCCA and from AAT in MAAT.

They work with Khalid Rehman - Advice Assurance Manager, Chris Handshaw - Head of Adviser Relations, and Michelle Lavoipierre - Administration Support Manager. Their manager is Alan Hudson, CEO.
