Kris Johnston

Kris Johnston, Esq. serves as Associate General Counsel and Head of Privacy and AI Governance at Afiniti, where responsibilities include directing global privacy programs, managing AI governance initiatives, and serving as lead product counsel on responsible AI. With extensive experience in regulatory compliance, including roles as General Counsel for the Detroit Public Schools Foundation and Senior Privacy Counsel at Rocket Central, Kris has developed privacy compliance programs and policies across various sectors. Additional contributions include co-founding the Responsible AI Resource Collective and serving on the Publications Advisory Board for the IAPP. Kris holds a BA from Harvard University and a JD from Fordham University School of Law, complemented by a certificate from MIT Sloan Executive Education.
