Earlier career experience includes various educational roles within the Department of Education & Training in Victoria from January 1985 to October 1998, with a focus on special education. Academic qualifications consist of a Bachelor of Education from Deakin University, a Graduate Diploma of Special Education from the University of Melbourne, and a Graduate Certificate in Elite Athlete Mentoring from ACAP University College.
