Manager, Education And Curriculum at AFPA American Fitness Professionals & Associates

Shana Fisher Walsh, PhD, is a seasoned academic and educator with extensive experience in teaching, curriculum development, and management within the field of health and fitness. Currently serving as the Manager of Education and Curriculum at AFPA American Fitness Professionals & Associates since July 2022, Shana previously held the position of Associate Professor at Peru State College where responsibilities included teaching, research, and service over a six-year period. Prior to that, Shana served as an Assistant Professor and worked as a PhD Teaching/Research Assistant at Baylor University, where Shana taught various health and fitness courses. Earlier professional experience includes teaching Spanish at both the elementary and secondary levels, developing curricula, and coaching cheerleading. Shana holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Health Promotion from Baylor University, a Master of Education in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from Delta State University, and a Bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University.
