Bekure Tamirat

Bekure Tamirat is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and advisory roles across various organizations. Currently serving as Lead Advisor at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change and Technical Advisor at Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention since 2021 and 2022, respectively, Bekure also holds the position of Board Chairperson at the Ethiopian Association of Startup Ecosystem. Previous roles include Product Director, Regional Director for East Africa, and Director of Operations at Gebeya Inc., as well as Managing Partner at Eshi ICT Solution PLC. Bekure's career began in the education sector, serving as a Teacher and Head of Teaching Aid Material Workshop at Grace School PLC before progressing to Senior IT Specialist and Teaching Assistant at the International Community School of Addis Ababa. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from the University at Buffalo and various certifications in IT and Computer Science.
