Aboubakar Sabat has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Aboubakar started their career in 1998 as an Attaché Commercial at GAMMA INTERNATIONAL S.A, where they contributed to the implementation of a commercial policy and engaged in commercial and real estate negotiations. In 2000, Aboubakar joined ExxonMobil as a Transit and Administrative Representative, where they served until 2002.

From 2010 to 2013, Aboubakar worked at MTN Cameroon as a Property Management professional. In this role, they were responsible for property acquisition, lease negotiation, project management, conflict resolution, and government relations.

Aboubakar then moved on to IHS Towers in 2012 and served as a Property and Site Acquisition Manager until 2014. Aboubakar was tasked with acquiring landed property for MTN at cost-effective rates and identifying suitable sites for telecom infrastructure.

In 2015, Aboubakar joined ZTE Corporation as a Corporate Services ;Sites Acquisition Manager, where they oversaw sites acquisition and managed corporate services until 2016.

Most recently, Aboubakar joined the AMN Group, where they held multiple roles. Aboubakar served as the Operations Manager for Cameroon from 2016 to 2018, overseeing the operations for the country. From 2018 to the present, they worked as the Regional Operations Manager for West & Central Africa, responsible for managing operations across the region. In 2019, Aboubakar was promoted to the position of Managing Director for Africa Mobile Networks Cameroon Limited, assuming leadership responsibilities for the company.

Aboubakar Sabat has demonstrated expertise in property management, site acquisition, operations management, and leadership roles throughout their career.

Aboubakar Sabat completed their education in a chronological manner. Aboubakar first attended Université de Douala from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a Licence en Droit, specializing in Droit privé. After a gap in their education, from 2012 to 2014, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at ESSEC Business School, specializing in Affaires, gestion, marketing et services de soutien apparentés. Aboubakar'smost recent educational endeavor took place from 2023 to 2025, during which they attended the University of Ottawa.
