Gustav Steenberg

Gustav Steenberg is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in various financial leadership roles. Currently serving as 2IC to the Group CFO at African Alliance since August 2024, Gustav has previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Sorbet Group from February 2020 to September 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Financial Executive at Adcorp Holdings Limited, Financial Manager at Paracon, and Group Financial Manager at MoreCorp, where responsibilities encompassed management accounts, tax, treasury, and audit functions. Gustav began a career in finance as an Audit Trainee at Deloitte South Africa, working with high-profile clients such as Microsoft and Imperial Logistics. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Pretoria, earned between 2004 and 2007.
