Annette Smith Tarver is the principal consultant at Annette Tarver, CPM where she focuses on business strategy, training, coaching and facilitation for emerging companies and leadership teams. In her leadership events, she enjoys helping organizations identify strategic drivers that enable leaders to embrace organizational growth and change, develop sustainable business models and transition plans.

Her operations expertise focuses on a broad range of for profit and non-profit businesses where she helps develop the appropriate business structure, communications strategy, leadership teams and financial tools to sustain and grow companies. As an executive coach, she assist emerging leaders in the identification of strategic initiatives internally and externally for the development and expansion of professional networks. The knowledge gleaned from these activities supports the growth of companies through positioning leaders. As the CEO of the Cincinnati Business Incubator, Annette used her critical and in-depth understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion to help over 36 businesses prosper and grow. Annette’s background is in project management where she has lead construction projects like the expansion of the Duke Energy Convention Center and development of Rookwood Shopping center and information technology projects including the data migration for the University of Cincinnati’s finance department. She conducts training on a range of small business topics. She is detail oriented and driven by good results!

Annette earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Howard University. Her postgraduate work includes an Executive Management program at the Amos Tuck School of Management at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. She earned her project management certification at Xavier University.
