Unathi Mtya

Unathi Mtya, MSc, serves as the Group Chief Information & Digital Officer and previously held the position of Group Chief Information Officer at African Bank. With extensive experience in technology leadership, Unathi Mtya was also the Chief Technology Officer at Grindrod Bank and the Chief Information Officer for the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa. Additionally, Unathi Mtya contributed as a CIO and Head of Departments at SITA SOC (Ltd). Mtya is a member of the Forbes Technology Council. Education includes a Master of Science in Technology Management from Columbia University (2016-2018) and currently pursuing further studies at INSEAD (September 2023 - September 2025).
