Lourens van der Merwe

Lourens van der Merwe is a finance professional with extensive experience in financial management and operations. Currently serving as Finance Manager at African Bush Camps since September 2024, Lourens previously held the position of Financial Manager at Inospace from February 2021 to August 2024, overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance for various entities. Prior to that, Lourens worked as a Finance Project Manager at Bigen Africa, where key responsibilities included managing a R170 million bank borrowing facility for a large development project. Lourens also gained foundational experience as an Accountant at Moore Stephens Stellenbosch. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Honours in Accounting and Business/Management and a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from Stellenbosch University, complemented by CIMA certification.
