Bara Alaya

Bara Alaya has a diverse work experience in the finance and investment industry. Bara started their career as a Visiting Professor at the University of Manouba in 2007. In 2006, they joined Tunisie Valeurs as a Sr. Financial Consultant. Bara then went on to work as the Chief Executive Officer at an Investment Company from 2011 to 2013. In 2013, they became the Head of Investment at CDC, where they were responsible for overseeing due diligence, evaluation, and deal execution for direct and indirect investment activities. From 2014 to present, they have been working at the African Development Bank Group, initially as a Senior Expert in Private Equity, and currently as a Principal Investment Officer. In their current role, they manage investment portfolios and supports project selection and due diligence.

Bara Alaya holds a BS degree in Finance from IHEC, which was earned from 1995 to 1999. Subsequently, from 2000 to 2002, they pursued an MSF degree in Finance at The George Washington University School of Business. Continuing their education, Bara Alaya achieved a PhD in Quantitative Methods applied to Finance from Université de Carthage between 2003 and 2007. Prior to these qualifications, Bara Alaya attended Lycée présidence from 1987 to 1994, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period.
