Eric P. Leblanc

Since 1997, Eric P. LeBlanc has accumulated extensive work experience in various legal and administrative roles. Eric P. began their career as a Lawyer at Beaudry, Bertrand Law Firm, where they provided litigation support and drafted legal opinions. From 2001 to 2003, they worked as a Lawyer at Hawken Law Offices, representing Cree Aboriginal communities in legal matters.

In 2003, LeBlanc joined the Department of Justice Canada as a Legal Counsel, providing legal services to the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC). Eric P. participated in the legislative drafting process, prepared contracts and agreements, and provided legal opinions on procurement and international obligations. Eric P. also assisted AAFC's Financial Guarantee Programs Division by drafting templates and negotiating agreements for government-guaranteed loans.

LeBlanc joined Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada in 2010 as a Project Manager in the Financial Guarantee Programs Division. Eric P. then joined the African Development Bank Group in 2011 as a Principal Legal Counsel, drafting legal instruments of cooperation and providing legal opinions on procurement and corporate issues.

Throughout their career at the African Development Bank Group, LeBlanc held various positions of increasing responsibility, including Chief Legal Counsel and Chief - Special Assistant to the Vice-President, Corporate Services & Human Resources. In these roles, they provided advice and support in policy development, contract drafting and negotiation, and staff-related matters.

In their most recent role, LeBlanc was appointed as the Chief - Team leader, HR Policies, Contracts, and Processes Team at the African Development Bank Group. Eric P. was responsible for setting up the team, developing work plans, and leading the design and implementation of HR policies, contracts, and processes.

Eric P. LeBlanc completed their Bachelor in Civil Law at the University of Ottawa from 1993 to 1996. Eric P. then attended École du Barreau from 1996 to 1997, where they obtained a Certificat d'admissibilité à l'exercice de la profession d'avocat. From 1999 to 2001, Eric pursued a Diplôme d'études supérieures spécialisées (D.E.S.S.) en fiscalité at HEC Montréal, focusing on Tax Law/Taxation.
