Kudakwashe Matereke

Kudakwashe Matereke possesses extensive experience in trade finance and corporate banking, currently serving as the Regional Chief Operating Officer for East Africa at the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) since January 2011. Previously held positions include Senior Manager of Structured Trade Finance at Nedbank Limited, where coordination of trade and commodity finance deals was a primary responsibility, and Senior Trade Finance Officer at TDB Group, focusing on trade finance activities across multiple COMESA countries. Matereke's career commenced as a Graduate Management Trainee at Standard Chartered Bank in Zimbabwe, followed by a role as Senior Manager in Corporate Banking at MBCA Limited. Matereke holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Leicester and a Bachelor of Commerce Hons from the National University of Science and Technology.
