Niraj Kumar Mishra has a diverse work experience in the steel industry. NIRAJ KUMAR is currently the Project Head of the Narrow hot strip Mill at African Industries Group since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Asst. General Manager at Jindal Steel and Power Limited from 2019 to 2022. From 2016 to 2019, they served as the Manager Mechanical at Jaswal Neco Industries Ltd. Before that, they were the Manager of the 1.4 MTPA Re Bar Mill at a company named "Manager Project" from 2013 to 2016. NIRAJ KUMAR started their career in 2004 at Jindal Steel and Power Raigarh as a Manager (Mechanical), where they were responsible for DRI operation and maintenance in the Raw Material Handling Area. Later, they moved on to become part of the Medium and Light Section Mill (0.60 MTPA) at the same company, where they held various responsibilities including errection and commissioning, maintenance, and plant operations as Shift-In charge. Overall, Niraj Kumar Mishra has gained significant expertise in the steel industry through their various roles and projects.

Niraj Kumar Mishra has a background in Mechanical Engineering. NIRAJ KUMAR obtained a B.E degree in Mechanical Engineering from GEC/NIT Raipur/ Pt. R.S.U in 2004. Following that, they pursued an MBA degree in Production and Operation Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University from 2007 to 2010. Prior to their MBA, they completed another BE degree in Mechanical Engineering from PT RSU Raipur between 2001 and 2004. Additionally, they attended Cheonggang Academy for an unspecified period of time. In 2010, they also completed an MBA program at IGNOU New Delhi with a focus in Production and Operation Management.
