Mercy Cheruto has worked in various roles in the technology industry since 2015. In 2021, they began working as a Community & Program Manager at African Leadership Group, where they are responsible for managing the Room, an entity of the AL Group that is a community of high-impact leaders. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at Andela as a Talent Partnerships Coordinator and Talent Partnerships Associate. In 2017, they were a Co-organizer at both RailsGirls Mombasa and Nairuby Mombasa. In 2016, they were a Software Developer and Community Volunteer at SwahiliBox. Finally, in 2015, they were an Attachee in IT Support at Kenya Ports Authority.
Mercy Cheruto attended the Technical University of Mombasa from 2013 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Technology in Infomation and Communication Technology. Mercy also attended freeCodeCamp from 2016 to present, studying Frontend Design.
