Patrick Kagurusi is the current Country Director for Amref Health Africa in Uganda. Patrick has been with Amref since October 2016, and in their current role, they are responsible for Program Leadership and Management, Technical Quality, Accountability, Reporting and Learning, Networking, Stakeholder relations, Visibility and Resource Mobilization, as well as Team Growth and Development. Prior to their current role, Patrick was the Head of Programs at Amref Health Africa Uganda from January 2010 to June 2013. In this role, they were a Public Health Specialist focused on Reproductive Health. Before joining Amref, Patrick was the Medical Superintendent at Ruharo Mission Hospital - Ankole Diocese from January 2007 to December 2009.
Patrick Kagurusi has a Master of Public Health from Lund University and a medical degree from Ntare School, Makerere University Medical School.
