Dave Verkaik

Dave Verkaik has a diverse work experience in various roles related to impact evaluation, research, and data analysis. Dave started their career as an Online Marketing Analyst at Paton Marketing in 2012 and worked there until 2014. Dave then worked as a Freelance Researcher for the "Filantropie In Nederland 2015" project, where they conducted studies on major donors' motivations and fundraising organizations' strategies. From 2014 to 2016, Verkaik worked as a Researcher at the Center for Philanthropic Studies, conducting research and contributing to the professionalization of philanthropy. In 2016, they joined Avance as an Impact Researcher, leading impact evaluation studies for both profit and nonprofit organizations. Since 2017, Verkaik has been working at the African Parks Network, where they have held various roles, including Head of Business Intelligence, Head of Proposals, Impact Reporting & Analyses Team, Manager of Conservation Funding, and Head of Impact Reporting, Data, and Analysis.

Dave Verkaik has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Communication Science, with Cum Laude honors, from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam). Dave also holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Marketing from VU Amsterdam, as well as a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Marketing and Health Communication with Cum Laude honors from VU Amsterdam.
