Gaye Agesa is a seasoned professional in policy advocacy and communication with extensive experience in enhancing research and development ecosystems in Africa. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Policy Advocacy & Communication at the African Population and Health Research Center since February 2023, Gaye has led high-level government and donor relations and emphasized evidence-based advocacy. Prior roles include Independent Consultant (September 2022 - January 2023), Senior Regional Communications Manager at PRB (April 2021 - July 2022), and Advocacy Project Manager at the African Population and Health Research Center (December 2016 - April 2021), focusing on immunization advocacy, capacity strengthening, and stakeholder engagement. Additional experience includes serving as Communications Manager at Plan International Kenya and Media and Public Relations Officer at AMREF Health Africa. Gaye holds a Master of Arts in Public Relations from the University of Westminster and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Nairobi, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Education from Kenyatta University.
