Dagmawit Moges Bekele is an experienced leader in transport, logistics, and public management. Currently serving as Director of the Peace Fund Secretariat at the African Union since March 2023, Dagmawit previously held the position of Minister of Transport & Logistics in the Ministry of Transport & Logistics F.D.R.E. from October 2018 to March 2023. Dagmawit also served as Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa City Administration for a brief period in 2018 and held various leadership roles within Addis Ababa City Administration from 2008 to 2018, including Head of Micro & Small Enterprises and General Manager of Subcity-Kolfe Keranyo. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Public Management and Policy and a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration and Development Management, both obtained from Addis Ababa University. Dagmawit is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Management at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, expected to complete in March 2023.
