Barka Said

Barka Said has a diverse work experience background. From 2018 to the present, they have worked at Africa's Talking, where they began as a Technical Support Associate, providing technical assistance to developers. Barka then became a Payments Product Expert, focusing on project management and coordinating cross-functional teams. Later, Barka transitioned to the role of Sales Engineer, where they facilitated customer onboarding and improved sales materials. Currently, they are a Product Expert, managing the entire product lifecycle and serving as a dedicated Scrum Master.

In 2016, Barka had an internship at Safaricom Limited. Additionally, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Nairobi from 2020 to 2021, teaching undergraduate courses and providing support to students.

Barka Said has a strong educational background in the field of Information Technology and Computer Science. Barka completed their Master's degree in Information Technology Management from the University of Nairobi from 2019 to 2021. Prior to their Master's degree, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the same university, which they completed from 2014 to 2018. Additionally, they obtained a Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Nairobi in 2014-2015.

Before their university education, Barka Said attended Tawheed Girls Secondary School, where they obtained their KCSE Certificate in 2012, which is a High School Certificate.

In terms of certifications, Barka Said has obtained various additional certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. These include a certificate in "Communication: Getting the Message Across" and "Speak Up and Lead" from the African Management Institute in June 2023. Barka also completed a certificate in "Self Management" and "Setting Goals for Success" from the same institute in May 2023. In addition, they obtained the "International English Language Testing System" certification from IELTS Official in March 2023.

Furthermore, Barka Said has completed several online courses to further their professional development. Barka has earned certifications in "Developing Your Emotional Intelligence" from LinkedIn in June 2022 and "Google Project Management: Specialization," "Foundations of Project Management," "Agile Project Management," "Capstone: Applying Project Management in the Real World," "Project Execution: Running the Project," "Project Initiation: Starting a Successful Project," and "Project Planning: Putting It All Together" from Coursera in 2021.

Lastly, Barka Said obtained certifications in "Acing Your Interview," "J.T. O'Donnell on Making Recruiters Come to You," "Negotiating Your Job Offer," and "Managing Your Time" from LinkedIn in October 2017. Additionally, they earned an "English Speaking - 8.3" certification from Emmersion in July 2022.
