Mark Philip Ssembajjwe's work experience begins in 2009 when they worked as an IT Support Technician for BSM Technologies Limited until 2011. In 2012, they joined the Department of Innovations and Software Development at MUK as a Junior Software Developer, where they developed and maintained the Results Management System for the IT department and created a Windows mobile OS app called "Kirabo" that allowed users to send gift images with attached meanings through SMS. In 2013, they became a Software Developer at TTC - Mobile Solutions for Social Change and then transitioned to the role of Technical Manager from 2015 to 2017. Mark then joined Africa's Talking in 2017, initially working as a Software Technical Support before becoming a Product Support Engineer in January 2019.

Mark Philip Ssembajjwe has a strong educational background in computer and information technology. In 2014, they attended ISBAT University where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Applied Information Technology (BSc-AIT) with a focus on Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2011, they attended Aptech where they earned an Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering, specializing in Computer Software Engineering.

The same year, they also obtained a Certificate in VSAT Installation from Makerere University. In 2008, Mark earned a Certificate in CCNA, also from Makerere University.
