Yvonne Pinto is the current advisor at Afrimash. Yvonne has also worked as the managing director at ALINE Impact Limited from April 2018 to June 2022. Pinto has a lot of experience in the agricultural field. Yvonne was the director of the Agricultural Learning and Impacts Network (ALINe) at Firetail Limited from January 2010 to January 2018. Her responsibilities included incorporating farmers’ views in defining priorities and evaluating success, tying improved performance measurement with donor accountability, and increasing the impact from investments. From August 2009 to March 2010, Pinto was the GCARD Programme Manager at FAO. And from March 2007 to December 2009, they were the Program Officer and AGRA Manager at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Pinto has also worked as the Africa Portfolio Executive at the Gatsby Charitable Foundation from January 1999 to December 2007.
After completing a BSc in Agriculture, Tropical Agriculture, Agricultural Botany from the University of Reading, Yvonne Pinto pursued an MSc in Agriculture, Agricultural Botany, Biotechnology, Virology and Pathology from the University of London - Imperial College at Wye. Yvonne then completed a PhD in the same field from the University of Cambridge. After their PhD, they completed 2 post-doctoral fellowships in the field of agriculture, one from the University of London - Imperial College at Wye and one from the University of Cambridge. Yvonne also has a certification in General Management from the Executive Education at Cambridge Judge Business School.
