Stefan Andemicael is the Director of Administration & Operations at Afro Latin Jazz Alliance. Stefan has over fifteen years of experience working in the music industry, including as a talent buyer, DJ, and film screener.
He began his career in 2004 as a DJ, spinning records at clubs in New York City. In 2008, he transitioned into the film industry, working as a screener for the GenArt Film Festival. After a few years, he returned to the music industry, working as a talent buyer for Blue Note Entertainment Group and Sony Hall. In 2017, he also began working as a talent buyer for Subrosa NYC.
Stefan has been able to use their experience and connections in the industry to help book shows for a variety of artists, including Highline Ballroom and BB Kings. Stefan is passionate about promoting up-and-coming talent and helping to create opportunities for them to perform.
Stefan Andemicael has a BA in Political Science - International Relations from Williams College and a Full IB curriculum from UNIS.
He works with Zack O’Farrill - Director of Education Programs, Arturo O’Farrill - Artistic Director, and Felipe Tristán - Creative Partnerships Manager. His manager is Marietta Ulacia, Executive Director.

The Afro Latin Jazz Alliance is dedicated to preserving the music and heritage of big band Latin Jazz, supporting its performance for new audiences, and educating young people in the understanding and performance of this important cultural treasure. The Alliance maintains a world-class collection of Latin jazz musical scores and recordings, provides institutional support for the GRAMMY Award-winning Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra directed by Arturo O'Farrill, and provides education programs for young musicians and new audiences.
