Tamlyn du Plessis

Tamlyn Du Plessis began their work experience as a Callcenter Agent at Medscheme (Mtius) Ltd in 2001 and worked there until 2004. Tamlyn then moved into the role of Technical Coordinator for a brief period from March 2004 to May 2005. From June 2005 to August 2008, they worked as an IT Product Specialist at Medscheme, where they interacted with the business and translated their needs for developers. In September 2008, they were promoted to IT Senior Product Specialist and Team Lead, a position they held until December 2011. In 2012, they joined Helios as a System Analyst and worked there until December 2019, with a promotion to System Analyst Team Lead along the way. Since December 2019, they have been working at AfroCentric Group as a System Analyst Team Lead and System Analyst.

Tamlyn Du Plessis has a diverse education history. In 1998, they enrolled at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Clinical Psychology and Sociology. Tamlyn completed this program in 2000. Following that, Tamlyn pursued a degree in Clinical Psychology and obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the same institution in 2002.

In 2012, they attended the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, where they embarked on a program specializing in System Analysis. This program lasted until 2013.

During the same year, in 2013, Tamlyn enrolled in the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika once again, this time completing a Certificate course in Introduction to Java Programming.

Apart from their formal education, Tamlyn obtained a certification in AgileBA Practitioner from APMG International in December 2021, showcasing their commitment to professional development.
