H. Jed Hepworth

Jed Hepworth is a Returnee from the AFS year program to Chile 1968-69. He retired in 2015 after 39 years of service to Cargill, Incorporated, the last 20 years as Latin America General Counsel. In that role, he led a team of 70 legal professionals working in 8 countries in Latin America and worked on M&A transactions and championed compliance across the Latin America Region.

Jed received his B.A. from Stanford University in 1973 and graduated with a JD from Stanford Law School in 1976.

Jed and his wife Lee hosted 3 AFS daughters from Chile, Venezuela, and Austria. Their son spent his AFS summer program in Chile with the same family where Jed was placed 30 years before!

After 43 Minnesota winters, Jed and Lee are now trying the snowbird life to spend winters in the Bay Area of California close to their grandson (and his parents and uncle, too).
