Virginia Myers is an experienced writer and editor with a focus on education, labor, social justice, and community engagement. Since January 2011, Virginia has worked as a writer/editor for the American Federation of Teachers, producing content for various platforms, including web articles and social media. Virginia has served as an independent editor and newsletter editor for the City of Takoma Park since 2004, overseeing the monthly publication. As a freelance writer and editor since 1983, Virginia has covered a diverse range of topics, including restaurant reviews, community planning, and arts profiles. Additionally, Virginia has written for several organizations, including Bethesda Magazine and the American Institute for Cancer Research. Virginia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology, English, and Spanish from Appalachian State University.
