Mark Leon Watson has over 15 years of experience in software development and architecture. Mark Leon began their career in 2004 as a Senior Programmer/Analyst for the City of Fort Worth. In 2006, they took on roles as the Lead Software Developer & Certified Scrum Master (CSM) for ThinkCash, as well as Asst Organizer for the Fort Worth .NET User Group and Lead Organizer for the Fort Worth Web Design Enthusiast Group. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer/Consultant for Konverge Labs. Mark Leon then became a Senior Software Developer/Architect for Pier 1 Imports from 2013 to 2014 and a Software Developer for Simpli.fi from 2014 to 2018. Currently, Mark Leon Watson is a Senior Software Architect for Afterman Software, where they are responsible for supporting, coaching, and integrating multiple products, teams, and staff; architecture and development of internal, hybrid, and cloud-based enterprise applications; Dev/Ops development and support for CI/CD pipelines, deployed applications, databases and infrastructures; and support and coaching of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile methodologies.
Mark Leon Watson received their High School Diploma from Western Hills High School in 1986, where they studied Industrial Arts. Mark Leon then attended Tarrant County College from 1989 to 1991, where they earned an Associates in Computer Science - Application Development. In 2006, they obtained a Web Developer (BCIP) certification from Brainbench. Mark Leon also holds a Scrum Master (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
